At around 11 p.m. Canadian local time, the Freedom Flotilla vessels were attacked by Israeli commandos in international waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

On board one of the vessels are the following Canadian citizens:

Devoney Ellis, activist and organizer, St. John’s (Newfoundland).
Mskwaasin Agnew, healthcare worker, Cree/Dene from the Salt River First Nation (N.W.T.), based in Toronto.
Sadie Mees, master’s student and women’s centre worker, St. John’s (Newfoundland).
Nikita Stapleton, teacher, search and rescue volunteer, and activist, St. John’s (Newfoundland and Labrador).
Nima Machouf, epidemiologist and political activist, Montreal (Quebec).
Khurram Musti Khan, activist, Toronto – Friends of Palestine.

We call for action in all cities across Canada: take to the streets on October 8th at 11 a.m. local time, peacefully, chaotically but with determination, to demand their immediate release and urgent repatriation. In Montréal we will meet at Champ-des-Mars.

Likewise, we demand that the government of Mark Carney immediately sever relations with the State of Israel, implement an arms embargo, and expel the Israeli ambassador from Canadian territory.

No to genocide in Gaza.
Freedom for the Flotilla.
